Blog following the endeavors of an HTML/CSS front end dev diving into learning Ruby on Rails, and setting a goal for writing his first application in 16 weeks. Brilliant!
This same idea has been knocking around in my noggin for just a minute…

I learned a neat photoshop trick!
flobin:
It’s really just a quick and dirty trick. By the end you’ll have something that looks a little bit like a line drawing, and would be a good starting point for further editing.
Here’s an imgur album of the full-sized screenshots, since they’re super small here.
Oh and I used this picture from flickr.

Closer...
It’s just over two weeks in time, but I’d say about bit less than 2 weeks of days worked on, but my site/portfolio is that. much. closer. Feeling really good, and it’s a rad exercise to quantify theoretical for practical. It’s going to be good to lock this down and launch it. Goal: by the end of this week. I’m scheduled for camping, so it’s going to have to be...

Sixteen Things Calvin and Hobbes Said Better Than... →
amandaonwriting:
On life’s constant little limitations
Calvin: You know, Hobbes, some days even my lucky rocket ship underpants don’t help.
On expectations
Calvin: Everybody seeks happiness! Not me, though! That’s the difference between me and the rest of the world. Happiness isn’t good enough for me! I demand euphoria!
On why we are scared of the dark
Calvin: I think night time is dark so...
