A thought on our future.
We won’t create an education that teaches our children how to use logic, deductive reasoning, how to identify logical fallacies, and the identification of the correlation/causation problem because it would cause our children to think differently from us. We wouldn’t have control over what our children think, and they would be able to ask questions we’re not comfortable answering. They’d create a world we weren’t in control of, and our religions and governments would truly have to answer for themselves. It makes us afraid, and it’s killing our ability to create a better life for ourselves.
We were never entitled to it by default, but we have the ability to give it to ourselves. But will we? You merely have to start by teaching a child to never stop asking why, and realize that they may not be satisfied with answers given.
